Wie schon in den vergangenen Jahren, wurden auch dieses Jahr im Oktober wieder mehr als 140 Paare handgestrickte Socken und andere Strickwaren an Armut und Gesundheit e.V. In Mainz übergeben. Dr. Kormannshaus aus Alzey, der ehrenamtlich für Armut und Gesundheit e.V. aktiv ist, war so freundlich die Strickwaren mit nach Mainz zu nehmen wo diese an Menschen ohne Obdach verteilt werden.
Gestrickt wurden die Socken von Strickerinnen des Alzeyer Strickcafes, der evangelischen Kirchengemeinde Alzey und weiteren Strickerinnen aus Alzey, Asperg, Bremen und Gotha. Ein ganz herzliches Dankeschön für die vielen Stunden an den Stricknadeln und ihr Herz für Menschen ohne Obdach. Auch ein großes Danke an die Spenderinnen und Spender für die finanzielle Unterstützung.

Socks for people without shelter
As in previous years, more than 140 pairs of hand-knitted socks and other knitted goods were handed over in October to Armut und Gesundheit e.V. In Mainz handed over. Dr. Kormannshaus from Alzey, who is voluntarily active for Armut und Gesundheit e.V., was kind enough to take the knitted goods to Mainz where they will be distributed to people without shelter.
The socks were knitted by knitters from the Alzey Knitting Café and other knitters from Alzey, Asperg, Bremen and Gotha. A big thank you for the many hours at the knitting needles and their heart for people without shelter. Also a big thank you to the donors for the financial support.
