Münster Week against Racism: our GPEU-Hospitaller Prof. Dr. Joachim Gardemann CLJ, CMLJ presents an exhibition and emphasizes the great importance of the family.
Commander Dr. Joachim Gardemann CLJ, CMLJ, Lazarus-Hospitaller of the Humanitarian Grand Priory, is the Director of the Center of Competence for Humanitarian Aid at the University of Applied Science in Münster. Aid operations have taken the pediatrician around the world for the past two decades, including visits to Macedonia, Rwanda, Sudan and Haiti.
Commander Gardemann’s watercolour pictures show people in need as a result of war and natural disasters, recording his impressions of his encounters with the people of these countries. He observes: “.. In all my mission the importance of the family for the physical and mental health of people in need impressed me deeply”
The lecturer devotes the exhibition “The importance of the family in flight and displacement” to a selection of these watercolors. It is part of the Münster Week against Racism, and takes place in Café Milagro. Admission is free, and the exhibition can be seen until the middle of May during the opening hours of the café.
The exhibition is organized together with Terre des Hommes, the Catholic Student and University Community (KSHG) and the Center for Humanitarian Aid
